Completion of master's degree in a health related field. Active or eligible for registration with applicable professional association or college.
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum of Master’s Degree from an accredited program in Social Work, Psychology or Nursing. Registered and in good standing with applicable professional association or college (and not under practice restriction or investigation). Minimum five years of post-degree experience and excellence in assessment and treatment of mental and behavioural health disorders preferably in mental health settings. Training and experience in implementing evidence-based interventions, knowledge of basic health psychology and population health principles. Proven ability to work with a diverse population across the entire age span; interest in working within a primary care behavioural health model. Demonstrated sound clinical and professional judgement, superior interpersonal and social skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong ability to be self-directed, flexible; displays initiative in work settings. Proven ability to develop collaborative working relationships with health professionals and in providing valued consultation. Evidence of a willingness to accept and integrate supervision. Travel within the Calgary Zone is required.
Preferred Qualifications:Superior knowledge of the mental health system, services and resources, and ability to facilitate referrals of patients. Knowledge of DSM-V and medications used for mental health conditions. History of effectively working in a matrix organizational structure. Strong practice management and organizational skills. Strong skills in developing program materials and presenting to clinical and professional groups. Experience in program development, implementation, evaluation and research.
