Required Qualifications:

Completion of master's degree in a health related field. Active or eligible for registration with applicable professional association or college.

Additional Required Qualifications:

M.A., M.Sc., or M.C. from an accredited clinical or counselling psychology program or an MSW from an accredited clinical social work program. Registered and in good standing (not under practice restriction or investigation) with the College of Alberta Psychologists or the Alberta College of Social Workers or the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta. Minimum of 5 years of post-degree demonstrated experience in assessment and treatment of mental and behavioural health disorders or a minimum of one year of practice in providing assessment and therapy in a community-based primary care setting with family physicians. Training and experience in implementing evidence-based interventions and basic health psychology. Able and willing to work with a diverse population across the entire age span. Knowledge of psychotropic medications. Sound clinical and professional judgment and strong interpersonal and social skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Self-directed, flexible, and displays initiative in work setting. Develops collaborative working relationships with health professionals. Strong history of providing very effective and responsive consultation. Evidence of an ability to openly accept and integrate supervision. Some shifts in the evenings may be required. This position requires a vehicle for business use. Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to a motor vehicle in good repair for work-related travel is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of and ability to apply population-based care principles. History of effectively working in a matrix organizational structure Strong practice management and organizational skills geared to primary care settings. Evidence of strong skills in creating and presenting to groups of people including both clinical groups and professional presentations Experience in program development, implementation, evaluation and research.
