Alberta Journeyperson in one of the following trades: Electrician, Electronics Technician or Instrument Technician or completion of a two-year diploma of related technology (Electronic Technologist).
Additional Required Qualifications:Alberta Journeyman Certification in one of the following trades, Electrician, Electronics Technician or Instrument Technician or certified by Alberta Society of Engineering Technologist as a C.E.T. or R.E.T. Intermediate technical/professional experience (i.e. 3-5 years) required. Minimum of 4 to 6 years’ experience in the following: maintenance, repair, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of electronic/electrical equipment and systems relating to industrial and institutional facilities. Testing, calibration and repair of electronic/electrical equipment and associated systems. Ability to prioritize conflicting or overlapping deadlines. Troubleshooting and analytical skills related to electronic/electrical and associated systems.
Preferred Qualifications:Fire alarm experience including factory training for servicing, commissioning and verification of hard wired, multiplexed and addressable fire alarm systems is an asset.
