Required Qualifications:

A minimum of 5 years of progressive, leadership experience in a healthcare environment, working within a complex, public sector organization of significant size, complexity, or diversity, Continuing Care experience (clinical included) is required. A combination of experience and education will be considered.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Equally comfortable working and communicating with physicians, nurses, clerical and executives (VPs, EDs, Directors), and working toward collaborative resolution. Ability to foster a strong team performance strategy. Strong understanding of Patient and Family Centered Care. Knowledge and demonstrated application of change management and leadership strategies. Effective communicator with strong organizational skills, influential skills, client-focused orientation, and commitment to providing quality services. Ability to develop and facilitate presentations to convey information or transfer knowledge. Requirement to achieve consensus with stakeholders. Proven experience in creative and innovative approaches to modify current or develop new practices and processes. Able to convey innovative ideas and be passionate about changing the health care system. Position requires high energy, flexibility with deadlines, short timeline requests and geographic variables. Some provincial travel may be required.


Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in continuing care settings, and, as applicable, active licensure with a relevant regulatory body (e.g. CARNA, ACMLT) are preferred. Registered Nurse, Master’s Degree is an asset.
