Required Qualifications:

Mechanical or electrical engineering bachelor or master’s degree, or relevant technical or trade certifications with extensive experience and knowledge. Demonstrable expertise and at least ten years of experience with advanced maintenance management methodologies and practice. Ten years of experience maintaining and operating complicated health facilities, infrastructure and building systems, or within comparable industries.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Demonstrated ability to advance strategic initiatives and manage people and budgets. Superior interpersonal, communication, facilitation and leadership skills. Ability to set and accomplish objectives and manage expectations, particularly in matrix management type of operations. Demonstrated critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills, with an aptitude for innovative, progressive thought. Proven ability to foster a collaborative team approach to decision making. Capability to negotiate sustainable solutions that encompass zone needs within a provincial context, while being able to tactfully mediate solutions to complex stakeholder concerns, at all organizational levels both internally and externally. Demonstrated ability to manage change and create innovative solutions for complex and diverse issues. Ability to foster a climate of cooperation amongst, and build solid relationships with public agencies, government, boards, committees and other partners.


Preferred Qualifications:

Professional engineer (PEng) registered in Alberta. Advanced technical or trade certifications. Post-secondary business training. Formal project management training. Certified Facility Manager (CFM). LEED® Green Associate or AP.
