Required Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have an undergraduate degree in business or management A minimum of 10 years of progressive emergency service leadership or managerial experience in large organizations At least 5 years of experience in managing or the procurement of contracts for service provision (as a proponent or buying organization)


Additional Qualifications:

A valid class 5 Alberta operator’s license with a maximum of 6 demerit points. A driver’s abstract from the last 60 days is required. Strong understanding of contract negotiation principles/approaches and service procurement (RFP, RFQ, etc.) A strong knowledge of EMS systems and their service delivery models Knowledge and demonstrated application of strategic business planning, and project management Significant practical experience and knowledge of strategy, policy development, change and project management


Preferred Qualifications:

Effective communicator with strong organizational skills, client focused orientation and commitment to providing quality services Ability to manage change and create innovative solutions for complex and diverse issues Strong knowledge of Health, Labor, traffic and Safety legislation
