Bachelor of Science with a major in Foods and Nutrition. Completion of an internship program or practicum training program accredited by the Dietitians of Canada. Active or eligible for registration with the College of Dietitians of Alberta (CDA).
Additional Required Qualifications:Active or eligible for CDA Restricted Activity Permit to prescribe Parenteral Nutrition 10 (1) (c). Active or eligible for CDA Restricted Activity Permit to prescribe a Schedule 1 Drug 10 (1) (d). Minimum three or more years of experience in a pediatric tertiary care hospital.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience working with patients with complex pediatric medical diagnosis across the age continuum from infancy to adolescence. Evidence of advanced knowledge in pediatric nutrition support via enteral and parenteral means. Advanced skill in transitional (inpatient to outpatient) nutrition care working within interdisciplinary teams. Strong skill set in teaching nutrition care plans with patients and families.
