Required Qualifications:

Completion of extended diploma from an accredited ultrasound program or completion of certification in Diagnostic Sonography from an accredited program. Active or eligible for registration with Sonography Canada and Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic & Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP). American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) registration may be considered for designations not offered by Sonography Canada.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Current registration for abdomen, pelvis, OB, small parts and vascular. Demonstrated proficient organizational, technical, interpersonal, communication and computer skills required. Demonstrated ability to assume responsibility, to work effectively both independently and within a team environment required. Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and in emergency situations required. Demonstrated interest in professional growth. Demonstrated ability to use tact, courtesy and professionalism with patients, staff and physicians required. Demonstrated ability in the areas of perception, initiative, judgement and concern for detail and accuracy required.
