Required Qualifications:

Recognized academic qualification at the Masters level in the Health Promotion, Health Studies, or related field, with a minimum of five years’ experience, in a leadership and program planning role. Equivalencies of education and experience may be considered.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Demonstrated depth and breadth of knowledge related to health promotion. Knowledge of Chronic Disease Prevention, Oral Health, Population Health and Health Promotion. Ability to plan, organize and manage short and long term plans and projects and deliver on results. Advanced communication, facilitation and negotiation or skills with strong ability to engage diverse stakeholders and facilitate collaboration. Ability to foster a climate of cooperation amongst, and build solid relationships with AHS staff, community agencies, and other partners. Group facilitation skills including demonstrated ability and comfort with leading, decision-making, coaching, teaching and mentoring. Ability to synthesize, analyze and present complex information. Strong track record in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Excellent time management, organizational, problem solving and interpersonal skills. Excellent analytical and decision-making skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent computer skills including expert knowledge of Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel required. Ability to search out and evaluate best evidence required. Knowledge of/experience with project management, data management & analysis software. Experience working independently.


Preferred Qualifications:

A focus on health promotion, evaluation and project management (including budget management) is preferred.
