Completion of Grade 12.
Additional Required Qualifications:The high degree of cultural competence as it relates to working with Indigenous people. Ability to understand and speak the Cree language. Flexibility to travel and work occasional evenings and weekends as needed. As a bona fide occupational requirement, and under Section 11 of the Alberta Human Rights Act, only Indigenous applicants will be considered. We encourage Indigenous candidates to self-identify. Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external partners respectfully and collaboratively. Proven ability to foster partnerships, and establish and maintain strong working relationships with First Nations and Metis communities, public agencies and government. College certificate/diploma in related health care discipline, such as Community Health Representative, Social Work, Nursing preferred (If part of a registered profession, registration in good standing with the applicable governing body).
Preferred Qualifications:Experience executing a program that fosters partnerships between Indigenous and Non-Indigenous people. Demonstrated ability and comfort with coaching and teaching individuals and groups. Ability to solve routine and standard problems. Evidence of initiative, flexibility and strong commitment. Demonstrated punctuality, adaptability, discretion and confidentiality.
