Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Community Health Representative Certificate. Current BCLS-HCP and standard First Aid certificate. Experience working in a culturally diverse environment. Experience in health service delivery. Experience with community development initiatives. Strong organizational skills. Demonstrated skill in working with groups to effect change.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in crisis intervention and working with individuals with severe or persistent mental illness is desired (Northern Communities knowledge of Indigenous culture, history and beliefs). Proficient communication skills in Cree is preferred in communities with mostly indigenous population. Demonstrated leadership and group facilitation skills. Please be advised that working some evenings and weekends may be necessary.
