Required Qualifications:

Completion of bachelor's degree in a health or education related field.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Additional Preferred: Current membership/registration in professional organization if applicable. Specialized training in the field of teaching & learning/group facilitation. Minimum 3 years’ experience of recent group facilitation/teaching & with program, project, lesson or curriculum design and assessment. Demonstrated knowledge & application of: Educational theory (pedagogy, teaching and learning, taxonomies, effective education), Understanding of Population & Public Health, Sex positivity, trauma informed, harm-reduction & stigma awareness approaches to education, health care or social service provision. Demonstrated ability to respond to the needs of various populations with compassion & respect. Participate effectively as a team member: request & accept direction & feedback as required; work creatively with initiative, withholding judgement & adaptability; manage a variety of values and perspectives with tact, diplomacy & sensitivity to diverse populations & circumstances. Demonstrated strong skill in: communication (written, verbal and interpersonal), teaching, facilitation and presentation, critical thinking, effective time management, organization, computer & internet technologies; use and maintenance of social media platforms, on-line education formats, PowerPoint & skype.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with vulnerable populations is preferred. Experience in the field of human sexuality education is preferred. Experience with professional writing. LGBTQ2S+ inclusive practice course or training. Trauma informed care/practice course. AHS Indigenous Certification. Domestic Violence Education or training. WHS: Move Safe training or courses. Ability to lift/carry 25 lbs. Facilitation experience with youth populations. Experience with program/lesson development & evaluation.
