Completion of diploma from an accredited program in Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technology (CLXT). Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-ray Technologists (ACCLXT).
Additional Required Qualifications:Recent, relevant experience as a Radiation Technologist performing procedures in general diagnostic imaging, including hospital affiliated training programs. Good organizational skills and ability to assume responsibility. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently and promote good teamwork. Demonstrated initiative, good judgment and attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure and in emergencies. Ability to demonstrate tact and courtesy in dealing with patients, staff and physicians. Practices effective radiation protection, infection control and safety techniques as applicable. Proficient computer skills. Ability to adapt too many changes. Demonstrated desire and actions to further own knowledge relating to profession. Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and adapt to stressful situations using tact and diplomacy. Ability to interpret, explain and apply applicable legislation, standards, policies and procedures. Receptive to new ideas and change.
Preferred Qualifications:Recent mobile radiography experience. Recent DR experience. CT Experience or enrollment/completion of CT courses.
