Required Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Psychology or Social Work. Active or eligible for full registration (not provisional) with College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP) or the Alberta College of Social Work (ACSW). A minimum of 5 years' experience in providing mental health assessment and intervention, including restricted activity of psychosocial intervention.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Current Heart and Stroke Foundation (HSF) Basic Life Support (BLS). Certification in clinical supervision or completion of clinical supervision training or certification within the first twelve months of employment. Employer provided training in Suicide Risk Management. Employer provided training in Prevention of Harassment and Violence (PoHV) or Non-Violent Crisis Intervention. Certification specific to one or more evidence-based psychotherapies preferred (individual and group). Employer provided WHMIS training.

Preferred Qualifications:

Five (5) years’ experience in providing advanced practice in the assessment, treatment and evaluation of mental and behavioral disorders or conditions, including addictions using individual or group treatment modalities. Minimum one year experience providing clinical supervision within addiction and mental health services preferred. Knowledge and experience using the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5). Understanding of Change Management Process.
