Required Qualifications:

Baccalaureate Degree in Pharmacy Advanced training in Pharmacy with the completion of a Pharmacy Practice Residency or Post-baccalaureate Degree in Pharmacy and 2 years of provision of direct patient care in an environment demonstrating advanced practice OR 5 years of provision of direct patient care in an environment demonstrating advanced practice.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Registration on the Clinical Register of the Alberta College of Pharmacists. Certificate of competency from the Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada required. Alberta Health and Wellness Practitioner Identification Number Required. Additional Prescribing Authorization granted by the Alberta College of Pharmacists required or must be attained within one year of starting in the position. Certification to administer drugs by injection granted by the Alberta College of Pharmacists required in some areas and an asset in others. Membership in The Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists.Demonstrated leadership ability.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in project planning and transformational change, additional leadership, education or management training and effective communication skills to facilitate practice advancement. Awareness and responsiveness to continuing change and evolution in provincial, national and international clinical Pharmacy practice. A minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience within a specialized program area in a healthcare organization of significant size, complexity and dive.
