Required Qualifications:

Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing is required. Three to five years in a healthcare provider role and a minimum of one year working a in a leadership capacity. Active registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA) is required. Valid driver’s license. A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Leadership skills, including effective communication skills, demonstrated ability and comfort with decisions making responsibilities, coaching and teaching, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Effective communicator with strong organizational skills, influential skills and commitment to providing quality services. Demonstrated ability to manage change. Ability to manage human, financial and physical resources within an operating environment. Ability to foster a climate of cooperation among, and build solid relationships with public agencies, government, committees and other partners.


Preferred Qualifications:

A combination of knowledge, technical skills and social process skills may be considered.
