Required Qualifications:

Skills and experience relevant to nursing practice in a continuing care setting. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Current registration with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Supervisory role, ideally in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity (health care experience is an asset). Must be able to manage conflict resolution with little or no direction. The Manager will utilize established procedures and practices and will be provided mentoring through the Area manager and Management Team. Responsible for motiving and leading staff members towards common goals. Responsible for establishing a safe and supportive environment for staff by ensuring appropriate workforce allocation, resources and availability or policies and procedures. Employee conflict/resolution. Consultations with Families. Liaison between nursing staff and Medical staff. Manages concerns brought forward by Patients/Clients utilizing effective communication skills and ensuring transparency and respect during the process.

Preferred Qualifications:

Baccalaureate degree in nursing. Experience with RAI and MDS.
