Required Qualifications:

Completion of a two year diploma in Biomedical Engineering Technology from an accredited Institute of Technology. Active or eligible for registration as a Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) with The Association of Science and Engineering Technology Professionals of Alberta (ASET).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Three years' experience in working with medical technology and exhibiting a working knowledge of medical terminology and physiology. Experience on various systems like Centricity Perinatal, Xcelera, Capsule, Connexall, MetaVision, Physiological Monitoring Systems and Networked Systems such as EEG and Pulmonary systems is an asset. Specific manufacturers' technical service training courses on specialized medical equipment for patient care is an asset. Web development skills to maintain and support in-house database and interface solutions is an asset.

Preferred Qualifications:

A Certified Biomedical Engineering Technologist with the Canadian Board of Examiners for Biomedical Engineering Technologists and Technicians is an asset. Certifications such as A+, Network +, CCNA, Security+ would be an asset. Training/education and experience with technologies such as Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft Server, Workstation, Active Directory, Databases, web servers, Cisco, Citrix, SQL, Symantec is an asset.
