Required Qualifications:

Graduation from a recognized nursing education program supplemented by active registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta Minimum five to ten years within the past five (5) years of public health experience, preferably working in a clinic setting, community-based outreach or interagency service-delivery model; ideally in an organization of significant size, and complexity. A minimum of 3 years in a supervisory capacity.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Strong communication skills and demonstrated knowledge of population and public health are required. A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development. A demonstrated ability and comfort with decision making responsibilities, coaching and teaching and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Knowledge of change management and quality improvement practices.


Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in Nursing (or relevant field) would be an asset. Minimum two (2) years within the past four (4) years’ experience in an STI Clinic or Sexual Health setting. Experience documenting in electronic health records, including Microsoft Office programs. Experience with First Nations Inuit Health, Indigenous and rural communities, outreach work and harm reduction.
