Required Qualifications:

Post-secondary degree in Information Systems, Information Management, or Privacy and Security.

Additional Required Qualifications:

9-12 years’ experience working directly with the relevant health privacy legislation and security policies. Demonstrated knowledge of the Alberta Health system from an information systems perspective. Demonstrated knowledge and skills including knowledge of legislation, interpretation of health and other privacy legislation for purposes of implementation and compliance. Demonstrated knowledge and skills in information security standards and system development processes. Proven critical thinking, analytical and problem resolution skills. Excellent interpersonal, communication, facilitation and leadership skills and the ability to work with stakeholders from a wide variety of business backgrounds. Proven competency in developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with a variety of stakeholders in research and knowledge translation.

Preferred Qualifications:

Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. A record of managing large groups of people with diverse interests both staff and in matrix relationships and to appreciate the differences. Attention to detail and the ability to anticipate impacts from or to other programs and business areas. Demonstrated ability to set and accomplish objectives, and effectively manage.
