Required Qualifications:

Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. certificate in office or business administration).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Graduate of a recognized program in office administration, office technology or secretarial sciences required. Equivalent combination of training and experience will be considered. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate in a professional and respectful manner required. Proven ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with others, both internally and externally, to achieve the goals of the department and AHS. Advanced computer skills Microsoft Office Suite. (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet) Working knowledge of AHS systems and processes such as e-People, ESP, i-Expense, e-Facilities, Share Point and Connect Care. Accuracy and thorough knowledge of spelling, punctuation and grammar required. Excellent attention to detail required. Demonstrated ability to work independently and with minimal supervision. Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction and tight deadlines. Ability to follow and handle advanced or specialized duties requiring extensive knowledge of the department and AHS policies and procedures. Ability to build relationships by establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with others, both internally and externally, to achieve the goals of the department and AHS. Ability to focus on stakeholder needs by anticipating, understanding, and responding to the needs of stakeholders to meet or exceed their expectations.

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum 3-5 years of progressive administrative support experience required. Experience within a healthcare setting is preferred.
