Your Opportunity:

The successful applicant is responsible for the organization and delivery of administrative support to the Site Executive Director – University of Alberta Hospital. The incumbent assesses work priorities and adjusts tasks accordingly to ensure the timely and efficient completion of all duties. Other duties include calendar management, preparation and scheduling of meetings, minute taking, ensuring accurate filing system (paper, online and including archiving), responsible for appropriate site distribution of information, liaison with Provincial Programs on site, Human Resource work such as paperwork and postings for positions, Financial work such as processing invoices, payroll for the department, assisting with Space Management/Renovations request tracking and processing of requests, and other tasks as required.


As an Administrative Support V, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. certificate in office or business administration).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12 supplemented with post secondary secretarial/administration diploma or certificate. Demonstrated ability to self-direct, prioritize, effectively organize and manage time. Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work and communicate in a cooperative, respectful manner with all staff. Excellent oral and written communication skills required. Excellent formatting, grammar, and proofreading skills. Computer skills required: Microsoft Office, Visio, PowerPoint, Excel, graphics, spreadsheets, and databases. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a comparable role is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Payroll entry and approval training are an asset. Markview training is an asset.
