Required Qualifications:

Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. course(s) in office of business administration, medical office assistant).

Additional Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required. 1-3 years’ experience with electronic scheduling systems (ESP Scheduler). Experience scheduling within a unionized medical/hospital setting is required. Ability to work independently with minimal direction within a team environment. Demonstrated organizational and computer skills, customer service, problem solving and interpersonal skills and critical thinking. A working knowledge of the various applicable collective agreements and pay codes is required. Ability to purposefully work with colleagues, partners and clients to achieve shared goals. 3-5 years’ experience in a customer service environment including demonstrated telephone skills and experience dealing face-to-face with clients. Knowledge and extensive experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

Post-secondary education in relation to healthcare or payroll administration. Training and experience with advanced functions of electronic scheduling systems (ESP Advanced, ESP Timekeeper). Payroll experience in a healthcare or union environment.
