Required Qualifications:

Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. course(s) in office of business administration, medical office assistant).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Medical Terminology Course required. A minimum of 3-5 years previous Administrative Support IV experience required. Minimum of two years previous Outpatient Clinic experience required. Minimum of one year experience in Clinical Neurosciences required within the last 2 years. Minimum 3-5 years’ experience with multi-disciplinary appointment booking required. Minimum of 3 years’ experience processing physician orders required. Minimum of 2 years' experience working with each of the following IT applications, within the last 4 years: Millennium Scheduler, Clinibase, Rightfax, OACCS, Netcare, SCM Ambulatory. Millennium template building experience required. Demonstrated ability to work well under stress. Must be able to embrace change. Demonstrated strong organizational& prioritization skills, attention to detail, and accuracy required. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality required. Ability to work with minimal supervision, prioritize, problem solve, and handle frequent interruptions required. Ability to engage in ongoing communication with patients, colleagues, and physicians, and various inpatient and outpatient departments in a positive manner required. Superior critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills are required. Excellent customer service skills, oral, and written communication skills. Fluency in English language skills in reading, writing, and oral communication required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to trouble-shoot IT equipment including printers, fax machines, and IT software.
