Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. course(s) in office of business administration, medical office assistant).
Additional Required Qualifications:Successful completion of a recognized Clerk course required. Must be proficient in medical terminology. Demonstrated reliability to attend scheduled shifts. Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail in assigned duties. Demonstrated proficient computer skills essential with current knowledge and experience with software programs such as Excel, Word, Internet, V.A.X. and Email. Demonstrated high functioning time management and organizational skills and ability to prioritize work and cope with frequent interruptions in a changing environment. Demonstrated positive and effective interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrated initiative, flexibility and independence in a team atmosphere. Demonstrated ability to adapt towards change. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:Five years minimum experience as a Clerk desired. Previous experience in PAC and Booking Office an asset.
