Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. course(s) in office of business administration, medical office assistant).
Additional Required Qualifications:Thorough knowledge of computers and various software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Microsoft Outlook, Google Office Suite), excellent time management skills, ability to multi-task, strong teamwork skills, minimum typing speed of 50 wpm, excellent formatting, grammar, syntax and proof reading skills, excellent customer service skills and personal initiative are required for this position. An interest in desktop publishing website maintenance is essential. An ability to work independently with minimal direction is essential.
Preferred Qualifications:Completion of Grade 12, post-secondary secretarial/administration certificate or equivalent an asset. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite would be an asset, however training can be provided. Interest and general knowledge of the medical/surgical setting would be considered an asset.
