Required Qualifications:

Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. course(s) in office of business administration, medical office assistant).

Additional Required Qualifications:

2-3 years’ experience with medical terminology required (e.g. Office Administration or equivalent). 2-3 years’ experience in a high volume ambulatory clinic setting. Clinical experience with chart management, complex patient bookings, completing requisitions, booking and tracking diagnostic tests. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated excellent computer skills including MS Office (Word, Excel). Demonstrated experience with Access software is necessary. Confident working knowledge of Clinibase, escheduler and Netcare. Ability and experience working in a multidisciplinary team environment. Demonstrated excellent organizational and prioritizing skills. Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently, including multi-tasking and dealing with changing priorities and with deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a hospital environment with both Pediatrics and adult experience with knowledge of patient and family centred care is an asset. Coordinating appointments & testing with subspecialty services and extensive knowledge of pediatric and adult outpatient services and chart management is preferred.
