Required Qualifications:

Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. course(s) in office of business administration, medical office assistant).

Additional Required Qualifications:

This position requires extensive experience with the database system, Meditech, as well as familiarity with the Public Health programs offered at Edmonton Zone Public Health Centres. A minimum of 4 years’ experience working as a Regional Health Assistant (RHA) and/or Health Aide and/or Administrative Support at a Public Health Centre is required; prefer at least one or more years to be Meditech expert. Experience with immunization data remediation (merges/switches/duplicates/overlays) in Meditech is required. In-Depth knowledge of clinical information systems (Meditech currently and will be moving to Connect Care) and Public Health policies/procedures is required Excellent written/oral communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, strong task analysis and exemplary problem-solving skills are required. Must be able to work well in a team as well as be self-directed to work independently. Ability to be adaptable and flexible in a changing environment is required. Experience instructing others at different skill levels is required. Able to manage multiple activities, prioritize and mange frequent interruptions is required Able to quickly respond to urgent requests with short timeline is required. Able to provide reliable and valid data from the clinical database is required. Able to maintain confidentiality at all times. Advanced professionalism and data integrity knowledge required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in ACCESS, Crystal Reports, and/or Telestaff would be an asset. An equivalent combination of skills and experience may be considered.
