Your Opportunity:

Responsible to the Manager - Occupational Therapy Service the Administrative Support III provides general clerical support to the Driver Evaluation and Training Service (DETS) and includes processing referrals, follow up with clients both in person and on the phone, and supporting the coordinator with program tasks and follow up. The role also provides assistance to Occupational Therapy (OT) and Physical Therapy (PT) departments including but not limited to ordering of materials, directing clients and staff, processing forms and paperwork, payroll, and vacation coverage. The incumbent works closely with other clerical and support staff as well as staff in other areas, e.g., Medicine, Nursing, Communication Disorders, Psychology, Social Work, Clinical Records, and Admitting.


As an Administrative Support III, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook required. Must have effective interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to prioritize and organize work assignments with minimal direction. Must be able to tolerate prolonged sitting and various keyboarding tasks for 70-80% of the day. Experience with and/or training in nonviolent crisis intervention required. Experience and proficiency with Connect Care roles Schegistrar, Ambulatory Clinics and Template Builder preferred. Strong prioritization and organization skills required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Post-secondary training in office management preferred. Previous related experience with customer service focus and in health care setting is an asset.
