Your Opportunity:

The Administrative Support III at Addiction Services Edmonton will be the first point of contact for individuals seeking or accessing community-based addictions and mental health treatment. As the first representative of the clinic that clients come into contact with, the ideal administrative support candidate will demonstrate a warm, welcoming and non-judgmental approach to a diverse group of individuals coming for treatment. This requires a high degree of independence and flexibility, experience working with diverse populations and excellent problem-solving skills. Reporting to the Manager, the successful applicant is responsible for providing administrative support for Addiction Services Edmonton, including the administrative needs of the physicians, manager, and multidisciplinary team members. This person will complete payroll time entry, purchase clinic supplies, assist with recruitment and onboarding needs of new staff, organize scheduling of outpatient appointments for clinicians and physicians, and manage incoming phone calls. The incumbent must be able to work both independently and as part of an inter-professional team. About Addiction Services Edmonton Addiction Services Edmonton is an outpatient addiction and mental health clinic located in the heart of downtown Edmonton that serves clients from across the Edmonton Zone. Our clients are adults who are at various stages of change with respect to substance use, gambling, sex addiction, process addiction and concurrent mental health concerns. This clinic offers walk-in screening/assessment, individual addiction counselling, group support and treatment, addiction psychiatry consultation and a 3-week day treatment program.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Post-secondary education in office or business administration required. Experience working with diverse populations with addiction and mental health concerns required. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks, high volume and stressful situations diplomatically required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of Edmonton Zone addiction and mental health resources preferred. Experience with eClinician or other electronic medical record preferred. Experience with a multi-line phone system preferred. Excellent and accurate Edit Script & EMON skills preferred.
