Required Qualifications:

Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. course(s) in business administration, medical office assistant), or other related fields.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12 Diploma required. Office administration training preferred; strong knowledge of computer systems and applications including keyboarding and data entry; modern office practices and equipment; medical terminology; general health system knowledge. Minimum 2 years’ experience in an office setting, proficiency in MS Office (including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint). Minimum typing speed required is 35 WPM. Working knowledge general office policies and processes. Meticulous attention to detail, consistency, and accuracy. Ability to work independently, demonstrates a high level of initiative but enjoys working collaboratively within a team Ability to responds promptly to change and opportunity, demonstrates eagerness and capacity to learn All candidates undergo standardized testing to determine suitability.

Preferred Qualifications:

Post-secondary degree or diploma is an asset. Healthcare experience is an asset. Working knowledge of Alberta Health Services systems and processes an asset. Contact centre or call centre experience an asset.
