Your Opportunity:

Enhancing community care options for Albertans continues to be a key priority for Recovery Alberta. Our goal is to provide high-quality diverse community, home, and individual Mental Health and Addiction services and to support the long-term mental health and wellness of Mental Health and Addiction clients and their families. To support this goal, the North Zone Mental Health and Addiction Services (MHA) department has an exciting opportunity for an MHA Recovery Worker with the Hinton/Jasper Mental Health and Addiction Services (Child/Youth and Adult). This position is based in Jasper and will serve clients who have been impacted by the recent Jasper Wildfire or who may have an identified mental illness, through a Recovery Psychosocial Rehabilitative framework that promotes client respect, autonomy, health, and improved quality of life. Preferred candidates will reside within the Hinton-Jasper corridor. The Town of Hinton in northwest Alberta, with its stunning view of the Rockies, is located about 284 kms west of Edmonton - close enough to visit friends and family on the weekends and holidays! You are also only 15 minutes from Jasper National Park and an hour from the Town of Jasper – perfect for that after work or a day trip! Besides the national park, you can also take in the natural beauty of one of the provincial parks just minutes away. In town, you’ll find public and Catholic K-12 schools offering instruction in English and French, and arts, sports, cultural, and social activities across a wide spectrum. Here, you can truly get to know your neighbors and community, making Hinto and or Jasper a perfect place to call home. This position has transitioned to Recovery Alberta effective September 1, 2024. By applying on this posting, if you are the successful candidate, you agree to and will become an employee of Recovery Alberta.
