Required Qualifications:

Masters in Health Services Administration, Business, Nursing or other equivalent preparation. At least 5-7 years’ experience in leadership and/or Health Service provider environment. Broad understanding of a regionalized health care system, the overall direction of AHS and Edmonton Zone operational issues. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong financial acumen.

Preferred Qualifications:

Understanding of recruitment policies and strategies, including policies relating to physicians. Understanding of various physician payment mechanisms and issues. Understanding of various provincial and national physician governing bodies/licensing authorities and related physician representative organizations.
