In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.
Description:
As a Transportation Service Representative, your role will be to deliver and pick up a range of products including, but not limited to, mail, specimens, lab supplies, mail, and blood products to and from Rapid Response Labs, Patient Care Centres, and client offices in a timely manner and according to an established routine, in accordance with APL standards, regulations and policies. Working independently, you must use appropriate storage methods to maintain integrity of cargo. You must adhere to all safe driving regulations and vehicle maintenance procedures. Maintenance of vehicles as well as coolers and transport boxes is also involved.

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Must hold a valid Class 5 Alberta Operator's Licence.
Additional Required Qualifications:You will be responsible for the accurate and timely transport of laboratory samples from collection sites to our testing facilities, ensuring that all specimens are handled under strict safety and regulatory standards. Physical capability to lift up to 50lbs and transport specimen and equipment as required.
Preferred Qualifications:Minimum 1 year of experience as a commercial driver and or previous courier role is an asset. Previous experience in specimen sorting and re-packaging is preferred.
