Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).
Additional Required Qualifications:As applicable, active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory & Xray Technologists (ACCLXT). Demonstrated ability to think systematically & critically to improve quality, realize improved outcomes and engage others in same. Demonstrated ability with decision making responsibilities, coaching and teaching, & the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Strong verbal communication, public speaking, listening skills, team player, interpersonal & leadership skills. Prior experience facilitating, instructing, precepting and or teaching. Knowledge of organizational/clinical workflows and practice. Ability to learn new material quickly & adapt to change. Comfort with technology and the ability to quickly master new software programs. Ability to build rapport, prioritize, critically think & solve problems quickly and efficiently. Ability to be patient and calm when faced with multiple distractions or problems that arise. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Ability to promote the change process in a positive manner. Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office tools. Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods with extended computer. Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds. Experience and comfort in problem solving and conflict resolution.
Preferred Qualifications:Previous experience as a Credential Trainer is an asset. 3-5 years recent clinical experience preferred.
