Required Qualifications:

Completion of master's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program or bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program and related experience. Active or eligible registration and practice permit with Physiotherapy Alberta College + Association.

Additional Required Qualifications:

The successful candidate must have in-depth clinical knowledge and skills specific to managing complex MSK conditions, treatment of neurological patients and patients with complex needs as well as working with interdisciplinary teams. The incumbent is expected to work, adapt and respond within a complex, ever-changing environment, employing problem solving, decision making and critical thinking skills while working independently and a part of a team. Must be an effective communicator with strong assessment, organizational, problem solving and counseling skills. Must be receptive to receiving and providing constructive feedback. Must possess strong customer service focus while supporting a broad spectrum of internal and external customers/stakeholders. Must possess a sound understanding of change management principles, community rehabilitation services and the social determinants of health. Sound knowledge of computer applications including basic word processing, email, internet access and electronic scheduling/EMR is required. Recent experience in a primary clinician role in assessment and management of non-surgical MSK conditions in an outpatient setting. Must demonstrate a strong patient/family-centered approach to care. Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience managing MSK conditions in an ED setting. Recent experience in developing evidence based short-term self-management treatment plans for clients with chronic/complex pain and/or psychosocial needs in an outpatient setting. Authorization to order diagnostic imaging. Training in McKenzie Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT).
